St.
John's Episcopal School does not discriminate on the basis of gender,
race, color, creed, and religion, national and ethnic origin in administration
of its educational policies, admissions policies and all school-administered
programs. Students are admitted at all grade levels dependent on space
availability.
All candidates must complete the admissions
application. Additionally, students applying for acceptance
to first through fifth grades shall provide academic grades and standardized
test scores from the previously attended school. Upon receipt of the student's
records, and at the discretion of the School, the child may be given an
appropriate readiness test administered at St. John's. Applicants will
be evaluated by the Admissions Committee to determine grade placement
according to the child's level of achievement, chronological age, and
other social, physiological, and developmental considerations.
St. John's Episcopal School seeks students of character and average
to superior academic ability. Students entering St. John's Episcopal School
must demonstrate the ability to undertake successfully the School's academic
program. Staff and facilities provide the opportunity to administer to
individual needs, but do not allow the School to adequately meet the needs
of children who are physically, emotionally, or intellectually challenged.
Admission is probationary for a period of six weeks to determine if a
child's needs can be met by the programs at St. John's.
